Terms of Use
The CommitBrief software is governed by GPL-3.0-or-later; these terms cover the website and its content.
Scope
These terms apply to this website, commitbrief.com, and to the
content published on it: documentation, blog posts, changelogs and other
pages. They do not add terms to the CommitBrief software. The software
and its source code are governed only by their license, described below.
CommitBrief (the CLI)
Use of the CLI is governed entirely by its GPL-3.0-or-later license. There are no additional terms, no service-level agreement, and no support contract attached to the binary itself.
Warranty and liability for the software are exactly those set out in sections 15–17 of the GPL-3.0-or-later license (disclaimer of warranty, limitation of liability, and how they are interpreted). These terms do not change them.
This website
The website (commitbrief.com and any associated subdomains) is
provided for informational purposes. Documentation accuracy is
best-effort; the authoritative source is the version of CommitBrief
installed on your machine and its --help output.
External links to providers, registries, or third-party tools are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse those sites.
The website and its content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. You use the content, including commands and code samples, at your own risk; we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from it, to the extent the law allows.
Acceptable use
You may read, link to and quote this website freely. Please do not:
- interfere with the site or the infrastructure that serves it, for example by overloading it with automated requests;
- try to gain access to systems or data that are not publicly offered;
- present the site’s content as your own, or as endorsed by the project when it is not.
Code samples in the documentation are there to be copied and used.
Name and logo
You are welcome to use the CommitBrief name and logo to refer to the project, for example in articles, talks and tutorials. Please do not use them in a way that suggests the project made or endorses a product or service it did not.
Changes and effective date
These terms take effect on the “Last updated” date shown above. If they change, this page is updated and that date moves. Using the website after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: [email protected].
